Danielle was born in Laguna Beach, California, the youngest of three children. When she was six years old, her family moved to Roseburg, Oregon where they lived on a small family farm. She earned her bachelor’s degree in religious studies and sociology from Oregon State University and then went on to complete two master’s degrees: one in Interdisciplinary Studies and the second in Adult Education. She taught at the university level in Tokyo, Japan for 3-1/2 years, and worked in Tanzania as a volunteer with the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. Before coming to St. Alice, she worked in social services with seniors for two years. Danielle is married to Calvin, and they have three children. She enjoys traveling (especially to places with warm, sunny ocean beaches, where she can swim), reading and working in her yard.
