St. Alice celebrates Mass at 9am every first Saturday of the month. This is known as The First Saturdays Devotion, also known as the "Five First Saturdays", and it involves five consecutive Saturdays of specific practices. The requirements are:
Confession: Go to confession on or near the First Saturday. (within 20 days)
Holy Communion: Receive Holy Communion on the First Saturday.
Rosary: Pray five decades of the Rosary.
Meditation: Meditate for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
In order to help parishioners fulfill these requirements, some schedule changes have been made. Fr. Mark will hear confessions from 8-8:30am. Shortly after at 8:15am, we will start with Rosary followed by the Mass. Following Mass, there will be 15 minutes of meditation on the mysteries of the rosary.
In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Alice will hold a "Blessing of the Animals" prayer service in the east side parking lot at St. Alice on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11am.
All pets are welcome on leashes or in carriers.
All are invited to celebrate the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, also known as Michaelmas. In many places, including Michoacan, the day is marked with special Masses and celebrations to honor St. Michael.
Father Mark has transferred the Feast Day, which is Monday, September 29, to Saturday, October 4. Following Mass at 5pm, parishioners from Michoacan will serve a traditional stew from the region as well as traditional corundas.
Come and encounter the Lord at our monthly Night of Hope and Healing which is on the second Thursday each month. We will begin with a Bilingual Rosary at 6:00pm, followed by Praise, Teaching, & Prayers for Healing from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Healing prayer teams will be available for anyone needing prayers for physical, mental, or spiritual healing.
